Scottish wedding castles.
There are many castles around Scotland with some wonderful settings and offering very good packages, when people talk of castles as a possible venue for their wedding the first thoughts are it must be very expensive.
For a single day package for somewhere like Dundas Castle a package averages between £4600 to £7500 depending on what time of year you get married.
Dundas is a 15th castle with lots of additions made during the 19th century very imposing building situation near the city of Edinburgh as with many castles it has a place in history.
Over on the west coast of Ayrshire stands Culzean Castle with a dramatic cliff top setting with architecture of Robert Adams also has its own caves and many tales of smuggling, ghosts and a colourful hisotry.

Packages for a wedding in this stunning castle range from around £4000 to £9000 depending again on the time of year and how many guests you want to have.
Moving across to some of the lovely islands of Scotland why not consider Brodick Castle on the island of Arran, with good connections from Glasgow to Ardrossan harbour and regular ferry crossing makes it quite accessible, sits quite happily near the towering peak of Goatfell, surrounded by gardens and within the country park.
Has many lovely features and plenty of photo opportunities
There are many Castles throughout Scotland some in ruins but still make a lovely photo opportunity if you are getting married nearby.

This is one of my favourite castles Blair it is in a lovely setting and has an impressive great ball room and receives many visitors from all over the world each year.
Great ideas for venues. Must be enchanting to get married in a castle. Like the photos as well!
For those who like a touch of romantic history it makes a lovely venue, and there are no shortages of castles in Scotland all with there own story to tell.
